This all-season bangle is made from "Pueblo" leather.
This product uses leather tanned using a process that employs vegetable tannins extracted from chestnut trees and other plants as tanning agents, and then generously fats the leather with beef tallow. The name "Pueblo" for the raw hide evokes images of the Native American communities, settlements, and people of the southwestern United States. This leather has a rough surface and an earthy (warm) feel. Through a meticulous finishing process where the surface is hand-sanded and then brushed in circular motions with a metal scourer, fine nap is created. As a result, the leather develops a unique texture that becomes increasingly lustrous with use. This intricate manufacturing method is unique to the Badalassi Carlo tannery, even within the Tuscany region of Italy.
