■Specialty Tannin-Dyed Canvas

Tannin canvas refers to fabric made by dyeing canvas with astringents (tannins) extracted from chestnut or mimosa.
Tannins extracted from plants like mimosa are also known as essential materials used in the process of producing full-vegetable tanned leather, which is a general term for leather produced without chemicals.
Due to the properties of tannin (astringent), its color changes as it oxidizes with use.
It is a material that can be enjoyed for a long time, developing a rich character.

One of the charms of this material is that the fabric, which is initially stiff, softens with use, and a unique "chalk mark" appears on the surface.
