■Specially Selected Tannin-Dyed Canvas
Tannin-dyed canvas refers to fabric that has been dyed using astringent (tannin) extracted from chestnuts or mimosa. Tannin, extracted from plants like mimosa, is also known as an essential material used in the production of full-vegetable tanned leather, which is a general term for leather produced without the use of chemicals. Due to the properties of tannin (astringent), the color changes and oxidizes with use, making it a material that can be enjoyed for a long time with a deep, rich character.
Another charm of this material is that as you use it, the initially stiff fabric softens and develops a unique "chalk mark" on its surface. *Washing is applied to help the dye set.
■Simple, Timeless Design
A small and cute size.
■Differences from Chemical Dyes...
The colors that can be expressed with tannin are limited and are natural, predominantly brown shades.
Black: A color closer to charcoal than true black.
Beige: A yellowish tone with a hint of brown.
Khaki: A green-based color close to brown.
■Notes
〇Please be aware that the actual product may appear slightly different in color depending on your monitor and environment. Thank you for your understanding.
〇Tannin-dyed canvas and leather may have individual differences in color intensity depending on the climate and season.
〇Tannin-dyed canvas and leather carry a risk of color transfer. Please be careful when wearing light-colored clothing or using them on rainy days.
〇Tannin-dyed canvas may develop black spots on the fabric due to changes in the tannin. We appreciate your understanding.
